In 1.5 years Jeffrey Vinokur went from not dancing at all to over 3.2 Million YouTube views, the #1 most watched Popping Tutorials in the world, started a dance crew, performs at college sports games, and now teaches his own weekly popping classes.

Jeffrey Vinokur, the Dancing Scientist, is also know by his famous YouTube username "TheRussianTiger," who has now logged over 10.9 Million views as of June 2011. He gained popularity by learning a difficult dance style in such a short time period and by documenting his progress via YouTube videos. Additionally, his tutorials and performances have become well known in the Popping community and watched over 12,000 times every day.  

Jeffrey teaches popping through weekly classes for students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. You can checkout a video of his class here and his evolution of a dancer video. In August 2009, Vinokur launched his own website www.TheRussianTiger.com which sells instructional popping videos to budding hip hop dancers in over 42 countries. Vinokur was also an extra in the recent dance movie Step Up 3D.

Vinokur is also the founder of the Madison Dance Conference, the largest collaboration of dance groups at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and he co-founded Rhythm Per Second Dance Crew.
